On Birthdays, Aggravation, and Getting Closer

This week was another fine week in shooting. After a much needed few days off from shooting, we resumed on Tuesday, the 5th of July. That shoot went smoothly. It was just an all around, very relaxing day.

On Wednesday, the 6th we reached our 20th day of principle photography. On BGR, our last day of principle was day 20. It is hard to imagine that we have been shooting so many days already. Harder still, because on BGR there was much more aggravation, and on Red Scare I have not wanted to scream or curse the heavens or murder anyone. Sure, there are days when I get a little frustrated. Scheduling is always a bitch, and locations can be as well. And then there is worrying about the weather. But even with those things, Red Scare is still a great shoot. Made greater still by the most amazing cast and crew that I have had the pleasure to work with. I am not just saying that.

Last night, the 7th we had our first outdoor shoot of the week, and naturally it threatened to rain. Added to that, I was worried about our location, but in the end it worked out so well, and became our shortest day on set. One hour. A one hour shoot. Unheard of! Absurd! Afterwards, seeing as how it was my brother's birthday and we had Joey and Sean on set (who also celebrated birthdays in the last week), I bought a birthday cake for them and we had a little mini birthday party post-shoot. So, that was cool.

One of the other things we did was create a celebrity list for Red Scare... Who we would cast if we had our pick of the industry. It came together quite well. If you want to see that list, go past the pictures on today's blog.

I think that's it for now. More shooting on Sunday. Still need money, so please donate and share the www.indiegogo.com/red-scare link.

Stay tuned!
