Day 3: Back to the Filming

We have returned to filming. Day 3 is in the can, and it was a good one. We went back to revisit one of the scenes we touched on in the teaser trailer. The shoot went great; Dan & Loarina were at the top of their respective games as they had their first days as actors on the Red Scare set. Ahmed Elbabouhi reprised his zombie-riffic role from the trailer and did a great job. Joey and Tony did their usual great jobs, and even went above and beyond to finish our track dolly this afternoon. It works!!!

We have actual moving shots in this movie, and they look fantastic thanks to the great dolly, and the shots that Bill & Sean have gotten. It is a really good looking movie so far.

We also used two cameras for the first time, which shaves a good amount of time... A nice thing especially when you're racing against the clock. So, Tony made his debut as 2nd cameraman tonight as well.

3rd day was nice... We have two more days of shooting this week. And we can always use some more donations, so please spread the word!!! We need the money. www.indiegogo.com/red-scare

Stay tuned!

Red Scare: 2 days in... and a 3rd on the way.

I can't believe that I didn't post anything about the 2nd day of shooting. Anyways, the 2nd day of shooting went easier than the first. We filmed at my friend Max's house, and shot two scenes. One a flashback, and one that is one of the first scenes in the movie. Both went very well. We got a lot of great coverage and some fantastic footage thanks to the amazing crew. One of the great things about the cameras that we are working with is that we are able to actually watch dailies!!! On the day!!! So, yeah, that is pretty cool.

Another great day of shooting (even if we did lock one of Max's cats in a closet for 4 hours by accident). Pictures below, and we start up week 2 of Red Scare this afternoon. Very exciting!

Stay tuned!
